From being updated to a “Seattle-like urban hub” with ongoing condo and apartment construction or the Meydenbauer waterfront getting a complete makeover, Bellevue is the place Millennials and others want to live.
“A lot of the millennials, they want to be where the action is,” said Mike Brennan, Bellevue’s development services director. “That’s why they’re building this stuff. There’s a market for it. It’s creating a lively, energetic, interesting neighborhood where people want to live.”
Regardless of the building and the concern about traffic. Most people are saying it’s worth it. They can walk and shop and eat and life is good.
“Bellevue made it onto Entrepreneur magazine’s online list of the 25 top small and mid-sized cities for entrepreneurs, a poll conducted at the magazine’s request by Livability.com. The only Washington city on that list — Bellevue — was cited for tons of amenities while maintaining a small-town feel. It ranks top 10 in the country in small business loans, creative class workers and culture while still offering affordable transportation and easy access to broadband.” says Puget Sound Business Journal.
